Signs of a faulty automatic transmission temperature sensor:

1. Transmission slippage
* Frequent slipping between gears, especially on inclines or when accelerating.

2. Harsh gear changes
*Hard or delayed gear shifts resulting in jerking.

3. Automatic transmission overheating
* The automatic transmission overheat indicator lights up or flashes on the dashboard.
* Smell of burning automatic transmission fluid.

4. Unstable operation of the torque converter
* Vibration or hum when operating at high engine speeds.

5. Changing the automatic transmission fluid level
* Excessive drop in fluid level due to leakage or overheating.

6. Fault codes
* Trouble codes related to the automatic transmission temperature sensor may be displayed on the OBD-II scanner.

7. Check engine light
*In some vehicles, a faulty transmission temperature sensor may cause the Check Engine Light (CEL) to come on.

8. Decreased fuel economy
* Incorrect temperature sensor readings can lead to improper control of the automatic transmission, reducing fuel economy.

9. Increased temperature flow
* A faulty sensor may report incorrect transmission temperature data, resulting in insufficient coolant circulation or overheating.
