Symptoms of a faulty automatic transmission torque converter:

Slip:
* Vehicle slipping or slipping when changing gears or accelerating
*High engine speed at low vehicle speed

Vibrations and hum:
* Vibrations or noise when shifting or accelerating
*Humming or squealing when driving at low speeds

Difficulty shifting gears:
* Delay or difficulty when shifting gears
* Jerks or bumps when shifting gears

Transmission fluid leak:
* Transmission fluid leaking from the torque converter
*Low transmission fluid level

Transmission overheating:
* Transmission fluid overheating
* Smell of burning or burnt oil
* Turn on the transmission overheat warning indicator

Power drop:
* Significant drop in power or acceleration
* Inability to accelerate the car to normal speed

Transmission destruction:
*In extreme cases, a faulty torque converter can destroy other transmission components such as gears or shafts
