Location of automatic transmission speed sensor on Nissan X-Trail T30
The automatic transmission speed sensor is installed on the gear selection mechanism.
Instructions for replacing the sensor
Required tools:
* Ratchet or 10mm wrench
* New automatic transmission speed sensor
Replacement steps:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the air filter and box.
3. Unscrew the bolts (1) securing the gear shift cable to the gear selection mechanism.
4. Disconnect the shift cable (2).
5. Unscrew the bolts (3) securing the gear selection mechanism to the gearbox.
6. Remove the gear selection mechanism.
7. The automatic transmission speed sensor is attached to the gear selection mechanism with one bolt (4). Unscrew it.
8. Remove the old sensor and install the new one.
9. Tighten the bolt securing the new sensor.
10. Reinstall the gear selector and secure it with bolts.
11. Connect the gear shift cable and secure it with bolts.
12. Install the air filter and box.
13. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
Note: After replacing the sensor, it is necessary to reset the automatic transmission adaptation data using a diagnostic scanner.
