Location of automatic transmission speed sensor for Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
The automatic transmission speed sensor is located at the rear of the transmission, on the right side of the vehicle.
Sensor appearance
The sensor is a small cylindrical component with an electrical connector and two bolts for mounting.
Replacement procedure
To replace the sensor, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Locate the sensor on the transmission housing.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
4. Remove the two bolts that secure the sensor to the transmission.
5. Pull out the old sensor.
6. Clean the sensor installation area.
7. Install the new sensor and tighten the bolts.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
9. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
10. Make sure the sensor is working properly by taking it for a test drive.
Note:
* To replace the automatic transmission speed sensor, it is recommended to use a new original sensor.
* Be careful not to damage sensitive components when replacing the sensor.
*After replacing the sensor, you must reset the error codes using an OBD-II scanner.
