Automatic transmission selector Opel Omega B restyling

The gear selector of the Opel Omega B restyling automatic transmission has the following diagram:

* P – Parking (the car is stationary, the wheels are locked)
* R – Reverse (reverse)
* N – Neutral (engine running, gear not engaged)
* D – Drive (main gear for normal driving)
* 3 – Third gear (for driving at speeds up to 120 km/h)
* 2 – Second gear (for driving at speeds up to 80 km/h)
* L – First gear (for driving at low speeds or on steep inclines)

Peculiarities:

* To change gears from position P, you must press the selector lock button on the handle.
* To change gears from R or L, you must first move the selector to N.
* In D mode, the automatic transmission automatically changes gears depending on the driving speed and engine load.
* In modes 3, 2 and L, the transmission shifts only to the selected gears, without entering D mode.
