Tools:

* Phillips screwdriver
* Flathead screwdriver or spatula for opening

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery:

* Loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal and remove the cable.
* Push the protective cap onto the terminal.

2. Remove the protective panel:

* Remove the bezel around the gear selector using a flathead screwdriver or spudger.
* Pry up the protective panel above the gear selector and remove it.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector:

* Locate the electrical connector connected to the gear selector.
* Press the latch and disconnect the connector.

4. Remove the cables:

*Locate the two cables attached to the gear selector.
* Press the plastic clips on the cables and disconnect them.

5. Unscrew the bolts:

* Locate the four bolts securing the gear selector to the console.
* Loosen the bolts with a Phillips screwdriver, but do not remove them completely.

6. Remove the gear selector:

* Lift the rear of the gear selector and remove it by pulling it towards you.

Adviсe:

* When disconnecting cables, be careful not to damage them.
* Remember to disconnect the battery to avoid short circuit.
* To install the gear selector, follow the steps in reverse order.
