Gasket location

The automatic transmission pan gasket is located between the automatic transmission pan and the automatic transmission housing.

Steps to replace the gasket

Materials:

* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
*Torque key
* Metric socket and wrench set
* Flat tray
* Clean rags

Instructions:

1. Remove the engine bottom guard: Using a socket or wrench, remove the bolts holding the engine bottom guard in place. Lower the guard and move it to the side.
2. Drain ATF: Place a flat tray under the automatic transmission pan. Remove the pan drain plug using a wrench and drain the ATF into the pan.
3. Remove the pan bolts: Using a socket or wrench, remove all bolts holding the transmission pan in place.
4. Remove the pan: Carefully remove the pan from the automatic transmission housing. Be careful as some ATF may remain inside.
5. Clean the pan and housing: Use clean rags to remove any remaining ATF from the pan and transmission housing.
6. Install a new gasket: Place the new gasket on the automatic transmission pan. Make sure it is positioned correctly and sits level.
7. Install the pan: Carefully install the pan back onto the automatic transmission housing. Torque the pan bolts to the torque specifications found in the repair manual.
8. Install the drain plug: Screw the drain plug back into the pan and tighten it.
9. Fill with ATF: Fill the automatic transmission with new ATF through the filler hole. The ATF level should be checked with a dipstick and adjusted as necessary.
10. Install the engine guard: Reinstall the engine guard and tighten the bolts.

Tightening torque:

* Automatic transmission pan bolts: 10 Nm
* Drain plug: 30 Nm
