Tools and materials:
* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission oil
* Wrenches or ratchet with socket set
* Pliers
* Oil drain container
* Clean rags
Instructions:
1. Remove the engine guard: If installed, remove the engine guard from underneath the vehicle.
2. Drain the oil from the automatic transmission: Place a container under the automatic transmission pan and unscrew the drain plug using a wrench. Drain the oil and screw the plug into place.
3. Unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts: There are bolts around the pan that hold it in place. Loosen and remove all bolts using a wrench or ratchet. Don’t unscrew them completely yet.
4. Pry up the transmission pan: When all bolts are loosened, carefully pry the pan with a flathead screwdriver or butter knife to separate it from the transmission housing. Please note that there may be some oil left in the pan.
5. Remove the old gasket: Remove the old gasket from the pan and clean the seating surface on both the pan and the automatic transmission housing. Remove any remaining sealant or dirt.
6. Install a new gasket: Install a new gasket onto the seating surface of the pan. Make sure the gasket is positioned correctly and has not moved.
7. Install the automatic transmission pan: Carefully press the pan against the automatic transmission body and tighten the bolts by hand until they stop. Then use a wrench or ratchet to tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the owner’s manual.
8. Fill in new oil: Using a funnel or syringe, pour new automatic transmission oil into the automatic transmission pan. Fill with the required amount of oil specified in the instruction manual.
9. Check the oil level: Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Check the oil level on the automatic transmission dipstick. If necessary, add oil to the required level.
10. Install the engine guard: Reinstall the engine guard if it was removed.
Adviсe:
*Use a new gasket to avoid leaks.
* Clean the seating surfaces to ensure a good seal.
* Tighten the bolts evenly to avoid deformation of the pallet.
* Check the oil level in the automatic transmission regularly after replacing the gasket.
