Materials:

* New gearbox seal
* Transmission fluid
* Sealing sealant
* Torque wrench
* Pliers for removing clamps
* Screwdriver
* Carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner

Tools:

* Lift or jack with stands
* Set of keys
* Slotted screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver

Procedure:

1. Preparing the car

* Place the vehicle on a lift or jack it up and use stands for safety.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Remove the lower engine protection (if equipped).

2. Draining transmission fluid

* Locate the transmission drain plug and place a container under it.
* Loosen and remove the drain plug, draining the liquid into a container.

3. Removing the old oil seal

*Locate the old transmission seal, which is usually located at the front or rear of the transmission housing.
* Use a screwdriver to carefully pry the seal and remove it.
* Clean the oil seal seating surface of any remaining sealant or dirt using carburetor cleaner or brake cleaner.

4. Installing a new oil seal

* Apply a thin layer of sealing compound to the outer edge of the new oil seal.
* Carefully press the new oil seal into the seat using a suitable mandrel or using a Phillips screwdriver through a piece of wood.
* Make sure the oil seal is installed correctly and is tight.

5. Tightening bolts and fasteners

* If the transmission was removed to replace the oil seal, reinstall it and tighten all bolts and fasteners to the torque specified in the service manual.

6. Filling with transmission fluid

* Install the drain plug with a new gasket and tighten it to the torque specified in the service manual.
* Fill the gearbox with transmission fluid using a funnel and checking the level using the gauge or level plug.

7. Check for leaks

* Start the engine and let it idle.
*Check under the car for leaks.
* If there are leaks, tighten the appropriate bolts or fasteners.

8. Reset error codes

*If any error codes occur while the transmission is running, clear them using a diagnostic scanner or by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

9. Completion

* Install the lower engine protection (if equipped).
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
*Check the transmission fluid level again after the vehicle has been parked for a while.
* Drive the vehicle and check that the transmission is working properly and there are no leaks.
