Location and functions:
The automatic transmission oil pressure sensor in the Nissan Sunny is located on the automatic transmission housing. It measures the fluid pressure in the automatic transmission and transmits a signal to the electronic control unit (ECU) of the automatic transmission.
Functions of the automatic transmission oil pressure sensor:
* Monitoring fluid pressure in automatic transmission
*Provide ECU data to adjust fluid pressure according to operating conditions
* Preventing automatic transmission damage due to insufficient fluid pressure
*Launch the low fluid pressure warning indicator on the instrument panel
Signs of a malfunctioning automatic transmission oil pressure sensor:
* Sluggish or sluggish shifting
* Noise or vibration when shifting gears
* Fluid leaks from automatic transmission
* The low fluid pressure indicator on the dashboard is on
* Inability to change gears
Replacing the automatic transmission oil pressure sensor:
To replace the automatic transmission oil pressure sensor you need:
1. Raise the car on a lift or using jacks and supports.
2. Find the sensor on the automatic transmission housing.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor.
4. Unscrew the sensor using a suitable wrench.
5. Install the new sensor and tighten it to the specified torque.
6. Connect the electrical connector.
7. Lower the car.
8. Erase fault codes using a diagnostic scanner.
Note:
It is recommended that you have the automatic transmission oil pressure switch replaced by a qualified mechanic to ensure proper installation and operation.
