Materials:
* Oil for automatic transmission Toyota WS (about 12 liters for a complete change)
* Automatic transmission filter (if replacement is required)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Funnel
*Measuring cup
* Rag
Tools:
* 12mm wrench or socket
* Oil filter wrench
* Oil drain pan
* Torque wrench
Procedure:
1. Preparation:
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and lift the front end to provide access to the automatic transmission pan.
* Place an oil drain pan under the automatic transmission pan.
2. Draining old oil:
* Unscrew the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan with a 12 mm wrench.
* Drain the old oil into the pan. Let the oil drain completely.
* Tighten the drain plug to 30 Nm.
3. Removing and installing the pallet:
* Unscrew the pan mounting bolts with a 12 mm wrench.
* Carefully remove the pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
* Replace the old gasket with a new one.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
4. Filter replacement (if necessary):
* If you are replacing the filter, use an oil filter wrench to unscrew the filter mounting bolts.
*Remove the old filter and install a new one.
* Tighten the filter mounting bolts to 10 Nm.
5. Filling with new oil:
* Insert a funnel into the hole for the automatic transmission dipstick.
* Fill in about 6 liters of oil for the Toyota WS automatic transmission.
* Start the engine and shift the gear selector to all positions, holding each position for a few seconds.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick.
6. Adding oil:
*If the oil level is low, add more oil in small amounts until it reaches the top mark on the dipstick.
* Do not overfill oil.
7. Resetting the oil change counter (if equipped):
*If your vehicle is equipped with an oil change counter, reset it according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
8. Final check:
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Check the pan and connections for leaks.
* Make sure the gear selector operates smoothly and without jerking.
Note: It is recommended to change the automatic transmission oil every 60,000 – 80,000 km or more often in severe operating conditions.
