* Automatic transmission pan gasket Land Rover LR034751
* Seal plug for automatic transmission pan Land Rover LR013843
* O-ring for automatic transmission filter cover Land Rover LR009061
* Funnel for filling liquid
* Key for automatic transmission pan (usually 10 mm hexagon)

Tools required to change automatic transmission oil:

* Set of keys or socket heads
* Pliers
* Rags or paper towels
* Lift or jacks (optional)

Procedure for changing automatic transmission oil:

Note: Allow the vehicle to cool before performing an oil change to avoid burns.

1. Raise the vehicle: If you have a lift, raise the vehicle for easy access to the underbody. If you don’t have a lift, you can use jacks.

2. Drain the old oil: Find the automatic transmission pan drain plug and place a container under it to collect the used oil. Unscrew the drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the container.

3. Remove the automatic transmission pan: Unscrew the bolts securing the pan to the transmission and carefully remove it. Be prepared for the remaining oil to spill out.

4. Replace the automatic transmission filter: Usually the automatic transmission filter is located in the pan. Remove the old filter and install the new one by moistening the filter O-ring with new oil.

5. Install a new automatic transmission pan: Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan and attach the pan to the transmission. Torque the bolts to specifications.

6. Fill with new oil: Using a funnel, pour new oil into the hole for the automatic transmission dipstick. Top up to the level indicated on the dipstick.

7. Check the oil level: Start the engine and let it idle. Shift the gear selector through all positions and return to the park position. Check the oil level on the dipstick and add if necessary.

8. Clean Up Spills: Clean up any spills and remove all tools and materials.

Additional tips:

* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission oil every 60,000 — 80,000 km or in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
* It is important to use ATF oil recommended by the manufacturer. Failure to do so may result in transmission problems.
* Dispose of used oil and dirty filters in accordance with local environmental regulations.
*If you are unsure of your ability to perform this procedure, consult a licensed mechanic.
