Materials:

* New Toyota Type WS gear oil (about 4 liters)
*New Transmission Oil Filter (Part No. 35330-60040)
* Oil pan gasket (part no. 35168-60010)
* Pan nuts (new or with new thread sealant)

Tools:

* Set of socket wrenches
* Ratchet wrench
* Pliers
* Funnel
* Gloves
* Rags

Steps:

1. Preparation:

* Set the gear shift lever to “P” position and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool for at least 30 minutes.

2. Draining old oil:

* Locate the transmission oil pan under the vehicle.
* Place a container under the pan drain plug.
* Using a socket wrench, carefully unscrew the drain plug.
* Allow the old oil to drain completely.

3. Replacing the oil filter:

*Locate the oil filter located on the side of the transmission.
* Using pliers, unscrew the oil filter and remove it.
* Apply a small amount of new oil to the new oil filter gasket.
* Screw in the new oil filter by hand, then tighten it with a wrench.

4. Removing the pallet:

*Using a socket wrench, remove the oil pan nuts.
* Carefully remove the tray.
* Clean the pan of old oil residues and particles.

5. Replacing the pan gasket:

*Remove and discard the old pan gasket.
* Install a new gasket on the pan.

6. Installation of the pallet:

* Reinstall the pan and tighten the nuts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.

7. Filling with new oil:

*Using a funnel, pour new gear oil into the transmission through the dipstick hole.
* Fill in about 3 liters of oil and check the level with a dipstick.
* Add oil in small portions until the level reaches the upper mark on the dipstick.

8. Checking the oil level:

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift the gear lever through all positions and then return it to the “P” position.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick. Add oil if necessary.

9. Reset service code:

*After changing the oil, you must reset the transmission service code. To do this, consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual or a qualified mechanic.

10. Disposal of used oil and filter:

* Dispose of used oil and filter according to local regulations.
