Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission fluid (Type WS or ATF-WS, about 10 liters)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission oil pan
* Set of keys
* Funnel
* Gloves

Instructions:

1. Preparation:

* Place the car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Gather all necessary tools and materials.

2. Pumping out old oil:

* Find the transmission dipstick hole and remove the dipstick.
* Insert a funnel into the dipstick hole and pump out as much automatic transmission fluid as possible using a pump or syringe.
* Repeat the process until about half of the liquid has drained out.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Position yourself under the car and locate the automatic transmission oil pan.
* Remove the bolts securing the pan to the gearbox.
* Carefully remove the pan and drain the remaining liquid.
* Clean the pan of old gasket and dirt.

4. Replacing the automatic transmission filter:

* Find the automatic transmission filter inside the pan.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the filter and remove the old filter.
* Install the new filter and tighten the bolts.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Apply a new gasket to the automatic transmission pan.
* Install the pan onto the transmission and tighten the bolts.

6. Topping up automatic transmission fluid:

* Insert the funnel back into the dipstick hole.
* Fill in new automatic transmission fluid to the level indicated on the dipstick.
* Insert the dipstick back into the hole and check the level.

7. Resetting the oil aging counter:

* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Shift the transmission selector through all positions, holding for 5 seconds in each position.
* Stop the engine and start it again.
* The message “Automatic transmission oil has been replaced” will appear on the dashboard.

8. Checking the fluid level:

* Check the automatic transmission fluid level after you have driven the car for about 50 km.
* If necessary, add fluid to the level indicated on the dipstick.

Important:

* Always use automatic transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
* Do not overfill automatic transmission fluid.
*If you are unsure of your abilities, have your oil changed by a professional mechanic.
* Regularly changing automatic transmission fluid extends the life of the transmission.
