Materials:

* New original automatic transmission filter (Hyundai 46321-3C210)
* New original automatic transmission oil (Hyundai SP-IV or equivalent)
* Oil pan gasket (Hyundai 21513-3C200)
* Gasket sealant (Loctite 515 or equivalent)
* Funnel
* Wrench set
* Pliers
* Lift or jack and stands

Procedure:

1. Preparation

* Make sure the engine is off and cool.
* Raise the car on a lift or place it on stands using a jack.

2. Drain the oil

* Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan and place a container under it to drain the oil.
* Carefully unscrew the drain plug using a wrench.
* Allow the oil to drain completely.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan

* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan to the gearbox.
* Carefully remove the tray.
* Clean the tray and magnets of metal shavings and deposits.

4. Replacing the automatic transmission filter

* Remove the old automatic transmission filter by pressing the lock and pulling it up.
* Install the new filter in the same position. Apply a little oil to the O-ring.

5. Installing a new pan gasket

* Apply gasket sealant to the new pan gasket.
* Install the gasket on the automatic transmission pan.

6. Installing the automatic transmission pan

* Install the automatic transmission pan on the gearbox and tighten the fastening bolts.
* Tighten the drain plug.

7. Filling the automatic transmission with oil

* Find the filler hole on the automatic transmission and insert a funnel into it.
* Fill new automatic transmission oil into the gearbox. The required amount of oil is indicated in the vehicle’s operating manual.
* Install the automatic transmission dipstick and check the oil level.

8. Checking the oil level

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Shift all gears and return to Parking mode (P).
* Remove the automatic transmission dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
* Re-insert the dipstick into the automatic transmission and remove it. The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.

9. Resetting the automatic transmission oil aging counter

* Start the engine and wait until it reaches operating temperature.
* Connect the diagnostic scanner to the vehicle’s OBDII connector.
* Find the “Automatic transmission oil aging” parameter and reset it to 0%.

10. Check for leaks

* Lower the vehicle and warm up the engine to operating temperature.
* Shift all gears and return to Parking mode (P).
* Check under the car for oil leaks.
