Materials:
* Automatic transmission oil Suzuki ATF 3317 (about 4 l)
* New transmission filter (if required)
* Transmission drain plug washer
* funnel
* Driver or ratchet with extension and 17 mm socket
* Oil pan tightening wrench (if required)
Tools:
* Wrench or wrench with 17 mm head
* Bucket or drain pan
* Gloves
* Brake cleaner
* Brush with nylon bristles
Procedure:
1. Preparation:
* Put the car on the parking brake and lock the wheels.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Gather the necessary materials and tools.
2. Draining old oil:
*Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission.
* Place a tray or bucket under the plug.
* Unscrew the drain plug using a 17mm wrench. Oil will begin to flow out.
* Let all the oil drain (approximately 3-4 liters).
*After the oil has drained, install a new washer on the drain plug and tighten it.
3. Replacing the oil filter (if necessary):
* Locate the oil pan under the transmission.
* Unscrew the pan bolts using a wrench or wrench.
* Remove the pan and carefully remove the old oil filter.
* Install the new oil filter and screw the pan back into place.
* Tighten the pan bolts to the appropriate torque.
4. Filling with new oil:
* Remove the oil level dipstick from the gearbox.
* Insert a funnel into the dipstick hole.
* Pour new ATF 3317 into the funnel.
* Fill in about 3 liters of oil and wait a few minutes until it drains into the gearbox.
5. Checking the oil level:
* Reinstall the dipstick and tighten it.
* Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a lint-free cloth.
* Reinsert the dipstick and remove it again to check the oil level.
* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
6. Adding oil:
* If the oil level is below the MIN mark, add a little more and check the oil level again.
* Continue until the oil level reaches the “MAX” mark.
7. Startup and testing:
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Shift gear to “D” and hold down the brake pedal.
* Shift through all positions several times.
* Turn off the engine and check the oil level again after a few minutes. It should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks.
Adviсe:
*Always use ATF 3317 recommended by Suzuki.
* Check the gearbox oil level regularly and top up if necessary.
* When changing the oil, it is recommended to replace the oil pan and filter.
*If you are not confident in your abilities, have your oil changed by a mechanic.
