Required tools and materials:

* New gear oil (type and quantity refer to vehicle owner’s manual)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission oil filter
* 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm sockets or ratchet sockets
* Extensions for socket wrenches
* Funnel
* Flathead screwdriver or star wrench
* Rags, gloves
* Container for draining old oil

Procedure for changing automatic transmission oil on Changan CS35 Plus:

1. Preparation:

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Gather all necessary tools and materials.

2. Draining old oil:

* Using a 17 mm socket wrench, unscrew the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan.
* Place a container under the drain hole and wait until all the oil drains. Be careful as the oil may be hot.
* Clean the drain plug and the plug seat on the automatic transmission pan.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Using a 10 mm or 12 mm socket wrench, unscrew the automatic transmission pan mounting bolts.
* Carefully remove the automatic transmission pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
* Remove the old pan gasket and clean the surfaces of the pan and automatic transmission housing.

4. Replacing the automatic transmission oil filter:

* Locate the automatic transmission oil filter on the automatic transmission pan.
* Using a flathead screwdriver or a torx wrench, remove the oil filter mounting bolts.
*Remove the old oil filter and install a new one.
* Tighten the oil filter mounting bolts to the required torque.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Install a new pan gasket on the automatic transmission pan.
* Carefully attach the automatic transmission pan to the automatic transmission housing.
* Tighten the automatic transmission pan mounting bolts to the required tightening torque.

6. Filling with new oil:

* Using a funnel, pour new transmission oil into the oil fill hole on the automatic transmission housing.
* Fill in the amount of oil specified in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.
* Use the automatic transmission dipstick to check the oil level. The level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.

7. Automatic transmission adaptation:

* After changing the automatic transmission oil, it is necessary to adapt the gearbox. This can be done using dealer diagnostic equipment or by following the procedure described in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.

8. Leak check:

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Shift through all gears to pump in new oil.
* Stop the engine and check under the car for leaks.

9. Resetting the automatic transmission service counter:

*If your vehicle has an automatic transmission service counter, reset it according to the procedure described in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
