Tools and materials:
* Automatic transmission oil Dexron VI (approx. 6 l)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* Ratchet wrench
*Socket set
* 5 mm hexagon
* Magnetic oil drain pan
*Clean cloth or paper towels
Oil change procedure:
1. Preparing the car:
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Start the engine and let it idle until it reaches operating temperature.
2. Draining old oil:
* Locate the transmission pan located at the bottom of the transmission.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the pan and carefully remove it.
* The old oil will drain into the magnetic pan underneath.
* Clean the pan of old oil and chips.
3. Replacing the oil filter:
* Remove the old oil filter and wipe the seat with a clean cloth.
* Apply a thin layer of new oil to the O-ring of the new filter.
* Install a new oil filter and tighten it to a torque of approximately 30 Nm.
4. Installing a new pallet:
* Install a new pan gasket.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts to a torque of approximately 25 Nm.
5. Refilling with new oil:
* Fill the automatic transmission with about 4 liters of new oil.
* Start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes.
* Shift into park position and check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick.
*Add more oil if necessary to ensure the level is between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick.
6. Resetting the oil aging counter:
*On T300 vehicles there is no manual way to reset the oil aging counter. It resets automatically after every oil change.
Adviсe:
* Check the automatic transmission oil level regularly, especially after long trips or when towing a trailer.
* Replace the automatic transmission oil and filter at the intervals specified in your vehicle’s service manual.
* Use only oil and filter recommended by the manufacturer.
* If possible, contact a qualified mechanic if you are unsure of your ability to change the automatic transmission oil yourself.
