Land Cruiser 200 gearbox modes

* P (Parking): Engage when parking.
* R (Reverse): To move backwards.
* N (Neutral): For short stops or towing.
* D (Drive): Basic mode for normal driving.
* S (Sport): Provides sharper gear changes for improved performance.
* L (Low): Keeps the gear low for improved traction on steep grades or when towing heavy loads.
* ECT (Manual Shift Simulation Mode): Allows you to manually shift gears using the gear selector or steering wheel paddles.

Usage

1. Starting the engine: Press the brake pedal and move the selector to position D.
2. Moving forward: Release the brake pedal and press the accelerator pedal. The transmission will automatically shift to the appropriate gear.
3. Braking: Press the brake pedal to slow down or stop the vehicle.
4. Downshift mode: Move the selector to L when additional traction is needed.
5. Sport mode: Move the selector to position S for improved dynamics.
6. Manual shift simulation mode: Move the selector to the ECT position. To change gears, use the selector or steering wheel paddles (+ to shift one gear higher, – to shift one gear lower).
7. Parking: Stop the car, press the brake pedal, move the selector to position P and turn off the engine.

Notes

*Always use the brake pedal before changing gears.
* Avoid overheating the transmission when towing heavy loads on steep slopes in D mode.
*If the vehicle gets stuck in mud or snow, switch to L or ECT mode to get extra traction.
* Do not shift to P while driving as this may damage the transmission.
