Required materials:

* LED strip (preferably flexible)
* Adhesive tape
* Scissors
* Soldering iron and solder (optional)
* Multimeter (optional)

Instructions:

1. Remove the automatic transmission cover. It is usually secured with a few screws.

2. Clean the surface of the automatic transmission. Remove any dirt or oil from the surfaces where the LED strip will be applied.

3. Cut the LED strip to the required length. Measure the edges of the automatic transmission and cut the tape to the appropriate length.

4. Remove the protective tape. Remove the protective tape from the LED strip without touching the LEDs.

5. Attach the LED strip to the automatic transmission. Start at one end of the transmission and carefully apply the tape to the surface. Use duct tape for additional securement.

6. Connect the wires. If the LED strip does not have built-in wires, you will need to solder the wires to the ends of the strip. Use a multimeter to determine the polarity of the tape (usually “+” is red, “-” is black).

7. Connect power to the LED strip. Find the power source on the automatic transmission, for example, the backlight connector. Connect the LED strip wires to the power source, observing the polarity.

8. Reinstall the automatic transmission cover. Make sure all wires are securely fastened and are not caught in moving parts.

Adviсe:

* For more uniform illumination, use a flexible LED strip.
*Clean the surface before sticking the tape to ensure good adhesion.
* Wrap LED strip around the edges of the automatic transmission for added effect.
*Use different colors of LED strips to customize the lighting to your liking.
