How to change gears in a Kia automatic car:

Lever position:

*P (Park): Locks the transmission when the vehicle is stationary.
* R (Reverse): Engages reverse gear.
* N (Neutral): Disengages the transmission when the vehicle is stationary.
* D (Drive): Normal driving mode used for most conditions.
*S (Sport): Sport mode that provides more aggressive shifting and improved performance.
* L (Low): Used for extreme conditions such as towing or steep inclines/descents.

Gear shift:

1. Start the engine.
2. Press the brake pedal.
3. Move the gear shift lever to the desired position:
* To engage Park (P), make sure the vehicle is stationary.
* To engage reverse gear (R), release the brake pedal.
* To shift to the neutral (N) position, press the shift lever release button.
* To engage Drive (D) or Sport (S) mode, press the accelerator pedal.
* To engage low gear (L), press the shift lever release button and move the shift lever to the L position.
4. Release the brake pedal.
5. Start driving by pressing the accelerator pedal.

Notes:

*Some Kia models may have additional modes such as Eco mode or Manual mode.
* When changing gears on the fly using manual mode, use the steering wheel paddle shifters.
* Do not change gears while driving in reverse.
*Always use Parking (P) when parking your vehicle on a slope.
