How to move off with an automatic transmission
1. Turn on the engine.
* Make sure the gear shift lever is in the Park (P) position.
* Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “Ignition” position.
*Press the brake pedal.
* While holding the brake pedal, turn the key to the “Start” position.
2. Move the gear shift lever to the Drive position (D).
* Release the brake pedal.
* The car will start moving.
3. Press the gas pedal.
* Gently press the gas pedal to increase speed.
4. Monitor engine speed.
* When you press the gas pedal, the engine speed will increase.
* Do not press the gas pedal too hard as this may result in sudden acceleration.
5. Release the brake pedal.
* If you are driving on a slope, first release the brake pedal and then press the gas pedal.
* If you are driving on a flat surface, you can release the brake pedal immediately after you start driving.
Other tips:
* When using Drive mode (D), the transmission will shift gears automatically.
*If you want to change gears manually, move the gear lever to the Manual (M) position.
* When driving in traffic, use Low (L) or Winter (S) mode to increase torque and improve handling.
* When stopping for a long time, move the gear lever to Neutral (N) or Park (P).
