Tools and materials:
* Wrench set
* Screwdriver
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Transmission fluid
* Rags
* Clean container for draining liquid
Management:
1. Preparation:
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Gather all necessary tools and materials.
2. Draining liquid:
* Locate the transmission pan at the bottom of the transmission.
* Place a clean container under the tray.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the liquid into a container.
3. Removing the pallet:
* Remove the bolts securing the pan to the gearbox.
* Carefully remove the pan and note the location of the gasket.
* Remove the old gasket from the pan and from the transmission.
4. Installing a new gasket:
* Clean the surfaces of the pan and gearbox from any old gasket residue and dirt.
* Install a new gasket on the pan. Make sure it is aligned correctly.
* Screw the pan back to the gearbox, following the tightening order of the bolts.
5. Filling liquid:
* Pour fresh transmission fluid into the gearbox through the dipstick hole.
*Add fluid to the level indicated on the dipstick.
6. Checking the fluid level:
* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions and return it to the “Parking” position.
* Pull out the dipstick and check the fluid level. Add fluid if necessary.
7. Resetting error codes:
*If any electrical connectors were disconnected when removing the pan, you may need to reset the error codes. To do this, you can use a diagnostic scanner or disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
Adviсe:
* Use only a high quality gasket that is compatible with your automatic transmission model.
* Tighten the pan bolts to the specified torque to prevent leakage.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level regularly to maintain it at the optimal level.
