Materials required to update the Mazda 6 GJ automatic transmission firmware:

*Mazda VCM 2 or VCM 3 adapter

Step by step instructions:

1. Connect the car to the laptop: Connect the Mazda VCM 2 or VCM 3 adapter to the OBD2 diagnostic connector of the car. Then connect the adapter to your laptop using a data cable.

2. Launch Mazda IDS software: Launch Mazda IDS software on your laptop.

8. Disconnect the adapter and check the operation of the automatic transmission: Disconnect the Mazda VCM 2 or VCM 3 adapter from the car and laptop. Check the operation of the automatic transmission by making several test drives.
