Recommended replacement interval:

Location:

The automatic transmission filter is located in the automatic transmission pan, which is located at the bottom of the car.

Required tools:

* Wrench or ratchet
* Screwdriver set
* Drain container
* New automatic transmission filter
* New automatic transmission pan gasket (optional)
* Torque wrench (optional)

Replacement procedure:

1. Raise the car using a lift or place it on stands.
2. Locate the automatic transmission pan at the bottom of the vehicle.
3. Place a drain container under the automatic transmission pan.
4. Unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts with a wrench or ratchet.
5. Carefully remove the automatic transmission pan and drain the remaining automatic transmission fluid.
6. Remove the old automatic transmission filter from the pan.
7. Install a new automatic transmission filter on the pan.
8. Apply a new gasket to the automatic transmission pan (if necessary).
9. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts with a wrench or ratchet. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
10. Pour fresh automatic transmission fluid into the gearbox.
11. Start the engine and let it run, then shift the gearshift lever to all positions.
12. Check the automatic transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.

* It is recommended that an automatic transmission filter be replaced by a certified mechanic if you do not have the appropriate skills.
* Use only the recommended automatic transmission fluid specified in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.
* Dispose of old automatic transmission fluid and filter in accordance with local environmental regulations.
