Function:

The automatic transmission drive oil seal prevents oil leakage from the gearbox through the connection to the wheel drive.

Signs of malfunction:

* Oil leak from the drive and gearbox connection

* Reducing the oil level in the gearbox

Causes of malfunction:

* Seal wear
* Deformation of seating surfaces
* Damage to the protective cover of the drive

Replacement:

Replacing the automatic transmission drive oil seal requires removing the front wheel drive and disconnecting it from the gearbox. Installation of a new oil seal must be done using special tools and sealant.

Note:

It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission drive oil seal every 100,000 – 120,000 km. Timely replacement will prevent more serious problems and expensive transmission repairs.
