Changing the oil in an automatic transmission with cooling pipes:

Materials:

* New automatic transmission oil (volume depends on the car model)
* Automatic transmission filter (if applicable)
* Automatic transmission cooling pipes (if they are clogged or leaking)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Sealant for automatic transmissions
* Carburetor or brake cleaner
* Automatic transmission pan screws (if necessary)
* Funnel
* Keys and screwdrivers

Tools:

* Jack
* Stands
* Screwdriver set
* Wrench set
* Bolt cutter (if the cooling tubes are stuck)

Steps:

1. Raise and secure the vehicle:

* Jack up the car and place it on stands.

2. Determine the location of the cooling pipes:

* Cooling pipes are usually located at the front of the vehicle or under the hood. They are connected to the radiator or heat exchanger and to the gearbox.

3. Pump out the old oil:

* Make sure the engine is not running and the transmission is in park (P).
* Find the drain plug in the automatic transmission pan and place a container under it.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the old oil.

4. Remove the automatic transmission pan:

* Unscrew the screws securing the automatic transmission pan and remove it.
* Clean the pan gasket and pan surface of any old sealant.

5. Remove and replace cooling pipes (if necessary):

* If the cooling tubes are clogged or leaking, they must be removed and replaced.
* Use a bolt cutter or wrench to loosen the clamps holding the tubes to the radiator and transmission.
* Carefully remove the tubes and install new ones.

6. Install a new automatic transmission filter (if applicable):

* If your automatic transmission is equipped with a replaceable filter, find it in the pan and remove the old one.
* Replace it with a new filter.

7. Install a new automatic transmission pan:

* Apply sealant to the pan gasket and install the pan back onto the transmission.
* Tighten the screws according to the specified torque.

8. Fill in new automatic transmission oil:

* Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount of new oil into the transmission.
* Check the fluid level using the automatic transmission dipstick.

9. Start the engine and change gears:

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Change gear and check the fluid level again.
*Add oil if necessary.

10. Reset fault codes (if necessary):

* If the check engine light or other trouble codes come on during service, clear them using a trouble code scanner.

Adviсe:

* Use automatic transmission oil recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level regularly.
*If the cooling tubes need to be replaced, it is recommended to replace both of them to prevent further problems.
* When replacing cooling tubes, do not over-tighten the clamps as this may damage the tubes.
