Replacing the automatic transmission control unit:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Find the automatic transmission control unit and disconnect the connector.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the control unit to the bracket.
4. Remove the old control unit and install a new one in its place.
5. Tighten the mounting bolts.
6. Connect the connector.
7. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
8. Reset the automatic transmission adaptive data using the diagnostic scanner.
