Automatic transmission control unit (automatic gearbox)

This is an electronic module that controls all automatic transmission functions, including gear shifting, clutch and torque converter lock-up.

Functions:

* Monitoring input signals from sensors and switches
* Determines optimal gear shift timing based on factors such as engine speed, load and throttle position
* Control solenoids to engage and disengage gears
*Hydraulic pressure adjustment for smooth gear shifting
* Torque converter lock-up control for improved efficiency
* Diagnostics and display of fault codes
* Adaptation to driving style and road conditions

Components:

* Central Control Processor (CPU)
* Memory (to store software, setup parameters and diagnostic data)
* Sensors (engine speed, vehicle speed, throttle position, etc.)
* Solenoids (to control gear shifting)
* Valves (to regulate pressure in the hydraulic system)
* Connectors (for connecting to sensors and other electronic modules)

Location:

The automatic transmission control unit is usually located in the engine compartment next to or inside the gearbox.

Signs of malfunction:

*Hard or delayed gear shifting
*Transmission sticking
* Automatic transmission fluid leaks
* Flashing fault indicator on the dashboard
* Limited driving mode

Malfunctions of the automatic transmission control unit lead to a decrease in the efficiency and performance of the vehicle and require professional diagnosis and repair.
