Yes, in most cases you can let a car with an automatic transmission light up.
Instructions:
1. Make sure your assistant parks his car so that his battery is close to yours.
2. Turn off the engines of both vehicles.
3. Take the cigarette lighter cables and unfold them at a safe distance.
4. Connect one red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery.
5. Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the donor vehicle battery.
6. Connect one black cable to the negative (-) terminal of the donor battery.
7. Connect the other end of the black cable to an unpainted metal surface on the engine of the car with a discharged battery. Do not connect it directly to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
8. Start the engine of the donor car and let it run for a few minutes.
9. Try to start the car with a dead battery.
10. If the car starts with a dead battery, leave the cables connected for a few minutes to charge the battery.
11. Disconnect the cables in reverse order: black cable from the engine, then from the donor battery, red cable from the donor vehicle battery, then from the dead battery.
