Transmission does not start:

*Low transmission fluid level
* Shift solenoid failure
*Transmission control module (TCM) malfunction
* Wear of transmission parts

Gear slip:

*Low transmission fluid level
* Wear of friction linings
* Torque converter malfunction
*Hydraulic pump malfunction

Gear shift delays:

*Low transmission fluid level
* Shift solenoid malfunction
*Dirty transmission filter
* Wear of transmission parts

Shocks or jerks when shifting gears:

*Low transmission fluid level
* Failure of the switching solenoid
*Transmission Control Module (TCM) malfunction
* Wear of transmission parts

Transmission fluid leak:

* Damage to gaskets or seals
* Wear of pan gaskets
*Damage to transmission housing

Increased fuel consumption:

* Gear slip
* Delays when shifting gears
*Hydraulic pump malfunction

Other faults:

* Limp-home mode: The transmission goes into limp mode, limiting gear operation.
* Abnormal noise or vibration: May indicate worn transmission parts or bad bearings.
*Park Shift Problems: May be caused by a faulty shift lock or shift cable.
* Cold Starting Difficulty: May be due to thickened transmission fluid or a faulty hydraulic pump.
