Resetting automatic transmission adaptation in Nissan Pathfinder R51
Required equipment:
* OBD2 scanner
Reset procedure:
1. Connect the OBD2 scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Shift the gear selector to the “P” (park) position.
4. Using a scanner, select the transmission section.
5. Find “Transmission Adaptation Reset” or something similar.
6. Run the adaptation reset function.
7. The reset will be performed automatically. The scanner will display a confirmation message.
8. Turn off the ignition and wait at least 1 minute.
9. Start the engine and drive the car for 15-20 minutes in various driving modes. This will allow the automatic transmission to re-adapt to your driving style.
Note:
* Automatic transmission adaptation reset should not be performed too often.
*If you are experiencing problems with your automatic transmission, take it to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repair.
