P (parking): Used for parking or stopping for a long time. Locks the wheels, preventing the vehicle from moving.

R (rear): Used to move the vehicle in reverse.

N (Neutral): Disconnects the transmission from the engine, allowing the vehicle to roll freely.

D (Drive): Used to move the vehicle forward normally. Automatically changes gears depending on speed and load.

2: Locks the transmission in second gear, used for driving on slippery road surfaces or when towing.

1: Locks the transmission in first gear, used for off-road driving or steep slopes.

L (Low): Locks the transmission in the lowest gear, used for driving on very steep slopes.

+/- (manual mode): Allows the driver to manually change gears.
