How to warm up an automatic transmission:

1. Start the engine: Start the car engine and let it idle for a few minutes.

2. Move the shift lever to Park (P): Keep your foot on the brake pedal and move the shift lever to the Park position.

3. Hold down the brake pedal: Continue to press the brake pedal and hold it down throughout the warm-up period.

4. Switch between gearshift modes: Move the gearshift lever through all positions (P, R, N, D) at intervals of several seconds.

5. Hold each mode: Hold the shift lever in each position for a few seconds to allow transmission fluid to circulate through the system.

6. Repeat the cycle: Repeat steps 4 and 5 for 10-15 minutes.

7. Wait a few seconds: Once warmed up, shift the shift lever into Park and hold it there for a few seconds to allow the transmission fluid to settle.

Important:

* Do not warm up the transmission at high speed or under load.
* Warm up the transmission only when it is cold outside.
* Maintain and change transmission fluid regularly according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
