Electronic control unit (ECU)

* Controls all electronic components of the automatic transmission (AT).
* Receives signals from sensors and switches gears based on specified algorithms.

Sensors

* Gear Selector Position Sensor: Detects what position the gear selector is in (P, R, N, D, etc.).
*Speed Sensor: Measures vehicle speed and sends information to the ECU to adjust gear shift timing.
* Engine Speed Sensor: Measures engine speed and sends information to the ECU to determine optimal gear shift timing.
* Torque Sensor: Measures engine torque and transmits information to the ECU to prevent gear shifting under load.
* Temperature Sensor: Measures the temperature of the transmission fluid and sends information to the ECU to protect the transmission from overheating.

Solenoids

* Solenoid valves that control the flow of transmission fluid through the valve body.
* Shift gears by changing hydraulic pressure and directing fluid to the appropriate clutch packs.

Hydraulic unit

* Contains passages and valves that direct transmission fluid to solenoids and clutch packs.
* Provides the hydraulic pressure needed to change gears.

Clutch packs

* Friction disc sets that engage or disengage to engage or disengage gears.
* Transmit torque from the engine to the transmission.

Clutch drum

* The mechanical component that connects the clutch packs to the transmission input shaft.
*Transmits torque from the engine to the transmission.

Planetary gear

* A set of gears that change the ratio of speeds and direction of rotation.
* Used to change gears in automatic transmission.

Shafts and planetary gears

* Axles and sets of gears that connect various automatic transmission components and transmit torque.
