Gear shift position:

* P (Parking): Lock the vehicle in parking. This position locks the transmission.
* R (Reverse): Shift the transmission into reverse mode.
* N (Neutral): Disconnects the transmission from the engine. Use this setting for towing or long stops.
* D (Drive): Basic forward driving position. The transmission automatically shifts to higher gears as speed increases.
*S (Sport): Holds gear longer, providing better performance. Can be useful when overtaking or on winding roads.
* L (Low): Forces the transmission to use only lower gears for extra power and traction, such as when climbing a steep hill or when towing.

Other features:

* +/-: Manual gear shift in some car models. Moving the lever up shifts to a higher gear, and moving it down shifts to a lower gear.
* Park Button: An optional safety feature on some vehicles that automatically shifts the transmission into park when pressed.
*Manual Mode: Allows the driver to control gear selection, similar to a manual transmission.
* Winter Mode: Limits upshifts to improve traction on slippery surfaces.
