Materials:
* ATF oil (type specified in the owner’s manual) — about 6-7 liters
* Automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Drain plug washer
Tools:
* Funnel
*Socket set
* Ratchet wrench
* Torque wrench
* Oil drain container (volume of at least 7 liters)
Replacement procedure:
1. Prepare the car: Place the car on a lift or use an inspection pit. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Loosen the drain plug: Using a socket, loosen the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan and allow the oil to drain into the prepared container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan: After all the oil has drained, unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan to the gearbox housing. Carefully remove the pan and drain the remaining oil.
4. Replace the automatic transmission filter: Remove the old automatic transmission filter from the pan and install a new one. The O-ring of the new filter should be lubricated with oil before installation.
5. Clean the pan and magnets: Clean the automatic transmission pan of any metal particles or deposits. Check and, if necessary, clean the magnets in the tray.
6. Install a new pan gasket: Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan, making sure it fits correctly.
7. Install the transmission pan: Attach the transmission pan to the transmission housing and tighten the mounting bolts with a torque wrench to specifications.
8. Fill in new oil: Using a funnel, pour new oil into the automatic transmission through the filler plug. Fill with the amount of oil specified in the instruction manual.
9. Start the engine: Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions, holding each position for a few seconds.
10. Check the oil level: Check the automatic transmission oil level using a dipstick or a special diagnostic tool. The oil level should be between the «Min» and «Max» marks on the dipstick. Add more oil if necessary.
11. Tighten the drain plug: Tighten the drain plug with a new washer using a torque wrench.
12. Connect the battery: Connect the negative terminal of the battery and reset the automatic transmission adaptations using a diagnostic scanner (if necessary).
