Multifunctional automatic transmission switch AL4
Location and purpose
The AL4 automatic transmission multifunction switch is located on the center console of the car. It is used to control various transmission functions, including:
* Manual gear shift
* Activation of sport mode
* Switch to parking mode
Description
The switch consists of two sections:
* Upper section: Lever for manual gear shifting.
* Bottom section: Buttons and switches to control other functions.
Functions
Top section:
* Gear shift (from left to right): P (park), R (reverse), D (drive), 1, 2, 3
* Forward movement: The lever moves forward to shift to a higher gear.
* Reverse: The lever moves backward to shift to a lower gear.
Bottom section:
* M button: Activates manual gear shift mode.
* Button D3: Activates low gear mode (3rd gear).
* S button: Activates sport mode.
* Hold button: Holds the current transmission.
Usage
Shifting gears in manual mode:
1. Press the M button.
2. Move the gear shift lever to select the desired gear.
Manual lock:
1. Press the Hold button.
2. To release the lock, press the Hold button again or press the accelerator pedal.
Sports mode:
*Press the S button.
* The transmission will shift to higher revs and more aggressive shifts.
Low gear mode:
*Press the D3 button.
* The transmission will only shift into the first three gears, which is useful when driving on steep hills or when towing.
Parking mode:
* Park the car.
*Press the brake pedal.
* Move the gear lever to position P.
