Adjusting the selector of the automatic transmission Honda CR-V RD1

Required tools:

* Phillips screwdriver
* 4 mm hex key

Instructions:

1. Make sure the vehicle is in park (P).
2. Raise the center console cover. To do this, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot near the gear shift lever and move the cover away.
3. Remove the gear selector housing. It is secured with two Phillips head screws.
4. Locate the adjustment bolts. There are two of them: one at the top of the selector, and the other at the bottom.
5. Adjusting the top bolt: Insert a 4mm hex key into the selector top bolt and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it. Turn the bolt clockwise to tighten it.
6. Lower Bolt Adjustment: Insert a 4mm hex key into the selector lower bolt and turn it clockwise to loosen it. Turn the bolt counterclockwise to tighten it.
7. Check for correct adjustment. Move the shift lever through all positions and make sure it moves and locks easily in each position.
8. Reinstall the gear selector housing.
9. Reinstall the center console cover.

Adviсe:

* When tightening the adjusting bolts, avoid over-tightening.
*If you are unsure of the correct adjustment, consult a qualified mechanic.
*Adjusting the automatic transmission selector may be necessary if the gear shift lever is difficult to move or does not lock into positions.
