Instructions:
1. Preparation:
* Place the car on a level surface.
* Apply the parking brake.
* Remove the terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Determining the position of the brake band:
* Loosen the bolts securing the shift housing cover.
* Remove the cover and locate the adjusting screw on the brake band shaft.
* There should be a mark on the shaft indicating the current position of the brake band.
* If there is no mark, make it with a marker.
3. Brake band adjustment:
* While holding the brake band shaft with one wrench, loosen the adjusting screw locknut with a second wrench.
*Using a flat blade screwdriver, turn the adjusting screw to adjust the position of the brake band.
Adjustment distance:
* Return the brake band to its original position as indicated on the mark.
* Unscrew the adjusting screw 2-3 turns.
* For more precise adjustment, you can use a torque wrench and tighten the adjusting screw to 2-3 Nm.
4. Tightening the lock nut:
* Tighten the lock nut of the adjusting screw while holding the brake band shaft with a wrench.
5. Assembly:
* Reinstall the shift housing cover.
* Tighten the cover bolts.
*Connect the terminal to the negative terminal of the battery.
6. Cleaning:
*Use a small amount of brake cleaner to remove any trapped particles.
* Check the tightness and tighten the bolts if necessary.
Note:
* Brake band adjustments should be performed by a qualified mechanic.
* Incorrect adjustment may damage the gearbox.
