Location of the automatic transmission adjusting bolt on Mazda Demio DW3W:
1. Raise and secure the vehicle on a lift or using jacks and support stands.
2. Locate the automatic transmission under the car.
3. The adjusting bolt is usually located on the right side of the automatic transmission, next to the gearshift cable.
4. The bolt has a 10mm hex head.
Adjusting the adjusting bolt:
1. Make sure the gear shift lever is in the Park position.
2. Loosen the adjusting bolt locknut with a 12mm wrench.
3. Turn the adjusting bolt clockwise to tighten the shift cable, or counterclockwise to loosen the shift cable.
4. Tighten the locknut with a 12mm wrench to secure the adjustment.
5. Check the gear shift adjustment by moving the lever through all positions.
6. If necessary, repeat the adjustment until the desired shift quality is achieved.
Note: Adjustment of the adjuster bolt should be performed by a qualified mechanic who has experience working on transmissions. Incorrect adjustment can cause shifting problems or damage to the transmission.
