Peugeot 206 automatic transmission adaptation after oil change
Adaptation of the automatic transmission after an oil change is necessary to adjust gear shift parameters and ensure optimal operation of the gearbox.
Required tools:
* OBD-II adapter
* Peugeot diagnostic software (eg Peugeot Planet 2000)
Instructions:
1. Connect the OBD-II adapter to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector. It is usually located under the steering column.
2. Launch the Peugeot diagnostic software. Establish a connection with the vehicle.
3. Go to the automatic transmission section.
4. Select the ‘Automatic transmission adaptation’ function.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions. Typically the adaptation process takes 10-15 minutes.
6. Once adaptation is complete, turn off the ignition and restart the engine.

* Use automatic transmission oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* Replace the automatic transmission oil filter when changing the oil.
* If the vehicle has not been adapted properly, gear shifting problems such as slipping or bumping may occur.
