Adaptation of automatic transmission robot to Toyota Corolla

Required equipment:

* Toyota Techstream diagnostic scanner or similar
*Laptop or tablet

Preparation:

* Make sure your car battery is fully charged.
* Warm up the engine and transmission to operating temperature.
* Stop the car on a level surface.
* Set the gear lever to ‘P’ position.

Adaptation procedure:

1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s OBD II diagnostic connector.
2. Launch the scanner software.
3. Select your car model and year.
4. Go to the ‘Transmission’ section.
5. Select ‘Automatic transmission adaptation’.
6. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen.
7. Start the adaptation procedure.

Stages of the adaptation procedure:

* Select adaptive mode (usually ‘Normal’).
* Start the engine and hold the speed at idle for several minutes.
* Shifting gears from first to fifth and back.
* Hold each gear for a few seconds.

Completing the procedure:

* After completing the adaptation steps, turn off the engine.
* Disconnect the scanner from the car.

Notes:

* Adaptation of the automatic transmission robot is recommended after repair or replacement of transmission parts.
* The adaptation procedure can last from 10 to 30 minutes.
*After adaptation, it may take some time for the transmission to adjust to the new settings.
* If the adaptation procedure is not completed successfully, contact an authorized Toyota service center.
