Adaptation of automatic transmission Hyundai Solaris A4CF1

Purpose of adaptation:

* Ensure optimal operation of the automatic transmission by calibrating its electronic components and mechanical parts.

When adaptation is required:

* After replacing or repairing the automatic transmission or its components
* After changing the automatic transmission oil and filter
* If you experience problems with shifting gears or delays when shifting
* When error codes related to automatic transmission appear

Adaptation procedure:

Using a dealer scanner:

1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.
2. Enter the automatic transmission menu.
3. Select the ‘Adaptation’ or ‘Calibration’ function.
4. Follow the scanner instructions.
5. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes.

Without dealer scanner:

Manual (for some models)

1. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes.
2. Shift the gear selector lever to all positions, holding each position for a few seconds.
3. Return the gear selector lever to the ‘P’ position.
4. Turn off the engine and wait 30 seconds.

Using scanning software (select models)

1. Install scanning software on your computer that is compatible with your vehicle.
2. Connect the OBD-II adapter to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.
3. Connect the OBD-II adapter to your computer.
4. Launch the software and establish a connection with the vehicle.
5. Select the ‘Automatic transmission adaptation’ function.
6. Follow the software instructions.

Notes:

* Before adaptation, make sure that the oil level in the automatic transmission is normal.
* The adaptation procedure may take about 15-30 minutes.
* Do not interrupt the adaptation procedure, as this may lead to incorrect operation of the automatic transmission.
