Adaptation of Audi Q7 automatic transmission using VCDS (Vasya Diagnostic)
Requirements:
* Audi Q7 with automatic transmission
* VCDS adapter (Vasya Diagnostic)
*Laptop or other device with VCDS software installed
* About 30 minutes time
Note: Before starting adaptation, it is recommended to reset the automatic transmission adaptation values by performing the ‘Basic reset’ procedure.
Procedure:
1. Connect the VCDS adapter to the vehicle diagnostic connector.
2. Launch VCDS software on your laptop.
3. Select ‘Controllers’ -> ’02 – Gearbox (Tiptronic)’ from the list.
4. In the left VCDS menu, select ‘Basic settings – 04’.
5. Enter channel code 061 and click ‘Read’.
6. The current clutch adaptation value will be displayed.
7. Change the value to 4 and click ‘Save’.
8. Enter channel code 063 and click ‘Read’.
9. Change the value to 10 and click ‘Save’.
10. Enter channel code 065 and click ‘Read’.
11. Change the value to -18 and click ‘Save’.
12. Enter channel code 067 and click ‘Read’.
13. Change the value to -2 and click ‘Save’.
14. Enter channel code 069 and click ‘Read’.
15. Change the value to -3 and click ‘Save’.
Clutch adaptation is complete.
16. Enter channel code 050 and click ‘Read’.
17. Change the value to 1 and click ‘Save’.
18. Repeat step 17 for channel codes 051, 052, 053, 054, 055, 056, 057, 058, 059, 060.
Clutch adaptation is complete.
19. Exit the ‘Basic settings – 04’ group.
20. Exit VCDS and disconnect the adapter.
Notes:
*After adaptation, it may take some time for the automatic transmission to adapt to the new values.
* If the vehicle begins to jerk or exhibit other symptoms of transmission trouble, take it to a qualified mechanic.
* Adaptation values may vary depending on the vehicle model and year.
