Adaptation of automatic transmission 09G Aisin using VAS-Diagnostic

Step 1: Preparing the vehicle

* Stop the car on a level surface.
* Move the gear selector lever to ‘P’ position.
* Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.

Step 2: Connect VAS-Diagnostic

* Connect VAS-Diagnostic to the OBD-II diagnostic port.

Step 3: Transmission ECU Identification

* In VAS-Diagnostic, go to the ‘Electronics’ section.
* Select ’02 – Transmission’.
* Select ’09G – Automatic transmission with mo clutch’.

Step 4: Start adaptation

* Click ‘Basic Settings’.
* Find parameter group ‘011’.
* Click ‘Adaptation’.
* Enter the password ‘31124’.
* Click ‘Activate’.

Step 5: Onboarding

* The transmission will shift into different gears.
* During adaptation, do not touch the brake or accelerator pedal.
* Adaptation will complete automatically.

Step 6: Reading Results

* Once adaptation is complete, click ‘Subtract’.
* Check the adaptation results in the ‘Current value’ field.

Step 7: Saving the Customization

* Click ‘Save’.
* Click ‘Done’.

Additional notes:

* Adaptation may take a few minutes.
*If adaptation fails, contact a qualified mechanic.
* It is recommended to carry out adaptation after replacing or repairing the automatic transmission.
