For different brands and models of cars, different automatic transmission differential play is allowed. Typically this parameter is about 0.05-0.15 mm.
For some common car models, the following play is allowed:
* Toyota: 0.05-0.10mm
* Nissan: 0.05-0.12 mm
*Honda: 0.05-0.10 mm
* Ford: 0.07-0.14 mm
* Chevrolet: 0.06-0.13 mm
Important:
* The play should be checked using a special tool, such as an indicator head.
*Measurement should be taken at several points around the circumference of the differential.
* If the backlash exceeds the specified values, it may cause noise, vibration and damage to other transmission components.
