The automatic transmission is blocked for the following reasons:

Transmission problems:

* Worn clutch pack
* Torque converter malfunction
*Transmission fluid leak
* Damage to mechanical components such as shafts or gears

Electrical or electronic problems:

* Faulty transmission solenoids or sensors
* Broken electrical wiring
* Malfunction of the electronic control unit (ECU) of the transmission

Incorrect operation:

* Towing heavy loads without turning on towing mode
* Aggressive driving, sudden starts and stops
*Holds transmission in lower gears for long periods of time

Other reasons:

*Low transmission fluid level
* Contaminated transmission fluid
* Malfunction in the transmission cooling system
* Wear of transmission parts due to normal wear and tear

Consequences of blocking the automatic transmission:

* Difficulty shifting gears
*Transmission slipping
* Vibrations and noise
* Deterioration in fuel economy
* Increased acceleration time
