Description of the scheme
After connecting the washing machine to the power outlet (1), power is supplied to the interference filter (3). The filter suppresses electromagnetic interference generated by the engine (5) and other machine components.
Power is then supplied to the door lock (4), which locks the door while the machine is running.
When the programmer (10) selects a washing program, the water supply solenoid valve (7) is energized through the red wire. The valve opens, supplying water to the washing machine.
The water level is controlled by a pressure switch (6). When the water reaches the set level, the pressure switch sends a signal to the control board (11). The control board then turns off the water supply valve.
The motor (5) is controlled by the control board via the black wire. The motor rotates the washing machine drum to mix the laundry.
The heating element (8) heats the water in the washing machine. The heating element is controlled by the control board via the orange wire.
The water temperature is controlled by a thermostat (9). When the water reaches the set temperature, the thermostat turns off the heating element.
At the end of the washing program, the waste water is drained through the drain pump (not shown in the diagram). The control board turns off power to all components of the washing machine and unlocks the door.
Notes
*Indesit washing machines may have several different electrical circuits depending on the model. Always refer to the owner’s manual or diagram provided by the manufacturer before performing any electrical work.
* Electrical repairs to your washing machine should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
