Signs of a possible dying automatic transmission:

1. Gear slippage:

* Increasing engine speed without corresponding increase in speed.

* Grinding or humming noise when shifting gears.
* Vibrations transmitted to the steering wheel or body.

3. Switching delay:
* Noticeable lag in the transmission when shifting to a higher or lower gear.

4. Jerks and dips:

* Feeling of a pause or failure during acceleration.

5. Overheating:
* Transmission temperature indicator lights up.
* Foreign odor of burning or burnt oil.

6. Leaks:
* The appearance of oil leaks from the gearbox.

7. Strange behavior:
* The box switches to neutral without your participation.
* Fault indicators light up.

8. Difficulty switching:
* Inability to switch to the desired gear.
* The need to use excessive force to shift.

9. Inability to engage gears:
* Complete impossibility of switching to drive, reverse or other gears.

10. Electronics faults:
* Error messages appearing on the dashboard related to the transmission.
* Failure of the transmission control system.
